The Algarve Christmas markets are already a tradition and are increasingly the municipalities to join the initiative.

Loulé City Council, in turn, bets on a Christmas entertainment program that includes the arrival of Santa Claus in Loulé, Quarteira and Almancil and a Christmas village with carousels, inflatables and typical wooden houses, as well as concerts dedicated to the younger ones.
2. See the Christmas lighting of the Algarve cities
Another of the most magical Christmas activities in Algarve for families visiting the region is the decoration and lighting of the Algarve municipalities.
The lighting and decorative notes alluding to Christmas, which every year bring the Algarve cities to life, are a perfect activity to do with your family. And the best news is that you can already enjoy this light show, which opened since late November.
The idea is to bring the Christmas spirit to the entire Algarve region, from the coast to the mountains, also with the construction of illuminated Christmas trees in some municipalities.
3. It's Christmas at Algarve Shopping!
On November 9, Santa Claus arrived at the Algarve Forum, marking the official launch of Christmas at the shopping and inaugurating various Christmas activities in Algarve for the youngest and their families.
These activities include an ice rink, available for ice skates and bicycles, as well as the Santa's Village, where the younger ones can write a letter to Santa Claus and take a picture with him, play in a ball pool or ride Santa’s train.
